Grampian 26, hull #292, white hull with blue stripe and classic wooden tiller. This is a fantastic first "real" boat for a young couple looking to move up from dinghies into something they can actually cruise and do day trips on. She has been owned and loved by young sailors for the last three or four years, and she is forgiving, roomy, and easy to handle, exactly what you want when you are getting into a larger keelboat for the first time. A roomy, stiff, easy-sailing coastal cruiser with a full six feet of standing headroom, V-berth, enclosed head, convertible dinette, and quarter berth. Steadily maintained and upgraded, not a project boat. Currently in the water and ready to sail at Foundry Cove in Penetanguishene. Highlights: soda-blasted and epoxy-sealed bottom with sealed iron keel (2017), new mast, boom and stainless forestay fitting (2006), upgraded traveller (2013) and turnbuckles (2012), new teak and birdseye sole (2021), new tinted windows (2010). Mainsail with two reefs (2008) plus a full headsail wardrobe (140, 110 and 95 percent jibs) and a cruising chute. Two upgraded two-speed jib winches. Power is a Nissan 15hp long-shaft outboard with lock and annual service records. Digital VHF (2011), LED cabin and running lights (2016), new sealed battery (2025), solar air vent, manual head and fresh-water systems both refreshed (2024). Cushions throughout, anchor and rode, and safety gear included. Comes with a steel four-post cradle (new pads) and the metal frame poles for winter storage, though it does not include a fitted tarp. A couple of items need attention and are priced in: spare deck winch needs repair, and the depth and speed gauges may not work. Cash on pickup, buyer arranges transport. Serious inquiries welcome and happy to show her in person. ---------------------------------------- FULL EQUIPMENT AND UPGRADE LIST (dates shown where known): VESSEL - Grampian 26, circa 1972/73, purchased April 2023 - Hull #292 - White hull with blue stripe - Wooden tiller - New teak and birdseye wood sole (2021) - New tinted windows (2010) - Soda-blasted bottom, faired and resealed in epoxy (2017) - Sealed iron keel (2017) - Stanchion bases recaulked (2025) - Manual bilge pump SAILS - Mainsail with 2 reefing points (2008) - 140% jib, hanked on, in bag - 110% jib, hanked on, in bag (2008) - 95% jib, hanked on, in bag (2005) - Cruising chute in easy-deploy bag - Blue mainsail and tiller cover (2012) RIGGING AND SPARS - New mast (2006) - New boom (2006) - New stainless steel forestay fitting (2006) - Upgraded traveller system (2013) - Upgraded turnbuckles (2012) - Windex (2018) - 2 x spare rope halyards DECK HARDWARE - 2 x upgraded two-speed jib winches - 1 x deck winch (needs repair) - 1 x mast winch - 2 x metal winch handles - 3 x white fenders (2004) - 4 x blue dock lines (2004) ENGINE AND FUEL - Nissan NS15B 15hp 2-stroke long-shaft outboard with lock (1993), annual service reports included - 25 litre gas tank ELECTRONICS AND ELECTRICAL - Digital VHF radio (2011) - Stereo and speakers (2005) - Depth gauge (may not work) - Speed gauge (may not work) - LED cabin lights (2016) - LED running lights (2016) - New sealed battery (2025) - Portable battery charger - Solar-powered air vent (2018) - New automatic bilge pump (2021), not yet installed PLUMBING - Manual head and holding tank (2024) - New manual fresh-water pump and tank (2024) INTERIOR AND COMFORT - 4 x cockpit cushions - 2 x V-berth cushions with storage covers (2012), rarely used - 1 x quarter berth cushion with storage cover (2012), rarely used - 2 x settee backs and 2 settee seats with storage covers (2012), rarely used - Folding table, converts to a double berth, with cushion - Window curtains, not installed GROUND TACKLE AND SAFETY - Danforth anchor with 10 feet of chain and 50 feet of rope - Life ring and throwing line - 5 x basic life jackets (2004) EXTRAS AND STORAGE - Steel four-post cradle with new pads - Wooden ladder (2019) - Metal winter frame poles (no fitted tarp) - Spare set of companionway doors
